I'm writing on behalf of my friends Alexandra and Rapheal Spindell, whose child Andrei Love was taken away from them by ASC 9 months ago. Since then, they have been unable to retrieve their child, who has been moved from one foster home to another because of foster-parent neglect. A & R were responsible parents, highly knowledgeble in nutrition and child development. In court, the judge focuses on their veganism, and the fact that Alexandra delivered Andrei in a home-birth. Facts about Andrei's health before he was taken from them are not discussed.

I don't know what most of you can do, probably nothing, but please read their story, and spread it if you can. They are very good people, and what is happening to them is cruel and disgusting. Andrei's childhood is also being destroyed.

Labor and Delivery. eck.
well, woke up yesterday feeling like crap, kept sneezing and having stress incontinense issues (apparently the baby is right on top of my bladder...) and I wasn't sure if my water broke or not... got a fever of 102.7 and so labor and delivery needed me to come in, only I couldn't take Sylvia and Geoff was on duty. SO I try calling my friend Rosi and I can't get in touch with her and I start calling people ont he ship trying to find Geoff and well right when I get intouch with Rosi they tell me Geoff's on the way. So I go and my water hadn't broken I just have the FLU. ack. that's just what I need... and they do an ultrasound and the Lt is showing the corpsman the body parts and she says "and there's the labia..." I was like,"labia...?" and sure enough, looked just like puffed wheat. hehe. so I get home and Geoff has gone into turbo mode and carried the cradle up stairs by himself (with his broken arm) and was sterilizing things and washing things... I tell him what happens and his like, but everyone at work thinks your water broke. I'm like, sorry. you'll just have to explain taht you're wife is a child and apparently pisses herself. agh! I feel so bad for him, but I told then I THINK it broke not it did break. argh! sailors! ptttfff.

anyway, feel miserable, will be MIA for a bit, just as a heads up. now must go get some Amy's unchicken noodle and some powerade and attempt to pass out on the sofa.

this is my second child, didn't have GBS with my first but they just told me they detected group B strep in my urine this visit today, and I'm really nervous about it. Anyone ever had it/know much about it?

yay! I'm so happy that this community exists. :)

My name is Cherrie. I'm 29 and I'm pregnant with my second baby, and am now 22w 1d along. :) I've been veggie for around 8 years now. I was vegan for two of those years but fell off the wagon in my first pregnancy, when I developed an INSANE craving for mac and cheese that I couldn't make better with vegan mac and cheese. :( My boyfriend and son are also vegetarian.

How far along is everyone and how long has everyone been vegetarians? What was your reasoning for choosing vegetarianism?

Have you guys ever heard of Veggie Tales. They are so cute. They are these little vegetables that run around and learn lessons. They seem so perfect for little vegetarian babies!

I was looking for a community like this!
Hello. My name is Mel. I am 6 weeks and 4 days pregnant. I have been a vegetarian for about 8 months. My husband and I am really excited to have a baby! I am 23 Years old from Denver. This is my first pregnancy. I have alot of support for the baby but not a lot of support for raising it vegetarian. Most of my friends and family have promised me that they will not feed my child meet behind my back. We plan on giving our children the option of eatting meat when we are older. For instance, if the child wants a hamburger when we are at a resturant we will not stop him. However, we are not planning on making an meat at our house. We would be more then happy to fix him a morning star farms veggie burger. WE LOVE MORNING STAR FARMS. Anyway I am due in July. This community seems pretty quite, however I tend to talk a lot so hopefully I will stir you all up into chatting as well! I can't wait to talk to other women who are pregnant and vegetarian!
